Lupita Nyong’o calls for change at the Oscars following Jada Pinkett Smith’s call to boycott awards

Following Jada Pinkett Smith’s call that the 2016 Oscars be boycotted by black actors for their failure to recognise the achievements of people of colour, other celebrities like Chris Rock, Lupita Nyong’o, Tyrese are speaking up in agreement with her.

This comes after the nominations were announced last week and movies like Idris Elba’s “Beast of No Nation”, “Straight Outta Compton” and other black stars like Michael B. Jordan and Will Smith were overlooked in the major acting categories.
