Manchester City midfielder Yaya Toure thinks cross-city rivals Manchester United will play like the away team at Old Trafford on Sunday (4.30pm).
The Blues midfielder made only his fourth start of the season as City lost to Shakhtar Donetsk in the Champions League in midweek.
It looks unlikely the Ivorian will play in the Manchester derby this weekend, although he does have strong view on how it may pan out.
Toure has played in his fair share of clashes against United but he thinks this one will be different to all that have gone before.
The 34-year-old reckons that Jose Mourinho will plan to defend on home soil and try to pick City off on the break as they did expertly against Arsenal last week.
But the Blues are top of the league and have only dropped two points all season, so Toure thinks his side will want to bounce back from midweek disappointed against their arch-rivals more than ever.
“This game can give us a lift for the future,” said Toure.
“This year I think, when you see United, they are going to be worried about us.
“Otherwise we will see the game they played against Arsenal a few days ago — so we have to be careful.
“I think with players like Lukaku, Ibrahimovic and Lingard, who is playing well, Rashford and Martial, they’re very fast.
“We need to have a big performance on Sunday. It’s going to be difficult because the way you saw Shakhtar playagainst us is the way United will play – counter-attack, counter-attack. Very fastand very strong.
“When I see United playing games against big teams, they always wait for a mistake to hit teams on the counter-attack.”
