Christmas day bombing: At least six dead in a suicide attack in Kabul (Afghanistan)
An attacker detonated bomb at the gates of the Afghan intelligence agency in the capital of Afghanistan.
A suicide bomber has killed at least six people in an attack at the headquarters of the Afghan intelligence agency in Kabul on Monday. The attacker activated his load at a time when workers were arriving at their offices.
This attack comes a week after an attack on the main training center of the Afghan intelligence services (NDS) in Kabul, claimed by the jihadist group Islamic State (IS), which left slight wounds.
The Interior Ministry spokesman, Najib Danish, has reported that six civilians who were in a car died from the detonation. “Six people were martyred and three others were injured,” Danish explained. “They were hit when they were passing through the area in their Toyota sedan, we still do not know what was the target of the attack that occurred on the main route,” he explained.
An AFP journalist who has moved to the site has indicated that the explosion occurred outside the main entrance of the headquarters of the security agency. Afterwards, the security forces cordoned off the air.
