Bike accident: PDP prays for Buhari son’s speedy recovery

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has prayed for the quick recovery of President Muhammadu Buhari’s son, Yusuf.
Yusuf, the only known son of Muhammadu Buhari was involved in a motorbike on Tuesday evening in Abuja.

The presidency’s last statement concerning the development was that Yusuf was still receiving treatment in medical facility in Abuja, Nigeria and will not be flown abroad for further treatments.

Following this development, the opposition party has offered prayers for the son in a statement on Facebook signed by Kola Ologbondiyan the national publicity secretary on Thursday, December 28.
Read the statement below:

“The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is shocked by the news of the involvement of Yusuf Buhari, son of President Muhammadu Buhari in a power-bike accident in Abuja on Wednesday.

We are however reassured by reports from the Presidency that he is in a steady condition.

The PDP as a family prays for Yusuf’s speedy recovery to enable him return to his normal life.

We also commend the prompt intervention by medics even as we value the concern of all well-meaning Nigerians for their prayers for Yusuf and the first family.”

Meanwhile, former vice president, Atiku Abubakar reacted to news of Yusuf Buhari’s accident saying his family will be praying for him.

The presidency confirmed Yusuf suffered a head injury and multiple fractures in a power bike accident in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) on Tuesday, December 26, night. Reliable sources said Yusuf was out riding with a friend when the incident happened.

A source said: “Yusuf was trying to overtake his friend when he suddenly veered off the road and skidded. He lay there unconscious for a while before the first lady was alerted.

“She ordered that he be immediately rushed to Cedarcrest Hospital, where he is currently receiving treatment. We are more concerned about the head injury than the fractures. As I speak to you, Yusuf is unconscious.

“An air ambulance may take him out of the country any moment,” the source added.
