Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah could play for Real Madrid, according to his international boss
Mohamed Salah’s manager Hector Cuper has said the Premier League top scorer is good enough to play for Real Madrid.
Salah has been a revelation since arriving on Merseyside for a club record £39m deal.
That looks a steal now after just six months where he has scored 20 goals – with 15 in the Premier League and five in the Champions League.
But he has already been linked with a move to Real Madrid with Zinedine Zidane a public admirer.
And Express Sports says, Salah’s international boss Cuper thinks he’s ready for a move to Spain if Madrid come calling.
“Salah is a very good player who has the ability to play for Real Madrid without doubt,” Spanish magazine Marca quoted Cuper as saying during the Dubai Globe Soccer Award on Wednesday.
Those comments could worry Liverpool after his incredible start to the season.
Salah was joint top scorer in the Premier League until Harry Kane hit a hat-trick yesterday.
Real Madrid have struggled this term on the back of winning the Champions League and La Liga.
And Florentino Perez is looking for new players in attack with Salah catching his attention.
Zidane publicly praised him saying: “He is a great player; he has shown that in Rome and now in Liverpool.
“He grows and gets better. He is young and can give even more to football. He is a player that I appreciate a lot.”
Salah will be joined by Virgil van Dijk at Anfield in January after Liverpool agreed a deal to sign him for £75m.
