A Chinese tourist was filmed killing the animal in Myanmar ‘out of curiosity’. When he was criticized, he said he had authorization to do so.
With a cigarette in his mouth, and an AK-47 rifle in his hands, the man approaches the cage . Without saying anything, he points the gun to the Tibetan black bear and shoots it in the head. Then he continues smoking, as if he had not done anything.
The murderer is a Chinese tourist, who was visiting a zoo located in Wa, a state of Myanmar that is bordering China. The sequence, filmed by another tourist, soon became viral.
Before the wave of indignation that broke out in his country, the man made a statement on social media. ‘Video was not allowed to be shared. I don’t know which tourist sent the video onto the internet in China. I was condemned by the web users. I would like to clarify the matter.’
According to his version of what happened, he said the bear was going to be executed by the people in charge of the zoo, since supposedly it had hurt some people.
When he was there at the moment, before the execution, he felt “curious” and asked if he could shoot it .
The tourist claims that they authorized it, but his version has not been corroborated by the authorities.
In a desperate attempt to cleanse his image, the man closed his defense with a message bathed in hypocrisy. “Learn the lesson, you have to protect the animals, start with yourselves.”
