Celta 2-2 Real Madrid: Real are not going to talk about the league, let’s go game by game — Zidane
- Real dropped in the level of performance against Celta
- Zidane was not willing to talk about the league after the match
- He wants to focus on the game
- He says if his side keep losing points they can’t win
Underlining a poor second half from his team, Zinedine Zidane analysed Real Madrid’s setback at Celta Vigo but didn’t want to talk about the league after the match.
The Frenchman is clearly placing an emphasis of taking everything game by game now.
“We’re not going to talk about the league every weekend,” he said angrily in his post-match press conference.
“If we keep losing points we can’t win.
“We have to go match by match and win them.”
A drop off in the level of performance after the break clearly irked the coach.
“We are all a little angry with the result,” he continued.
“Not with the first half, but with the second.
“We can’t be happy with that, there was room to play a better game because we didn’t play well for 90 minutes.”
Loss of control of the ball seemed to be a theme throughout the game that handed the advantage to their hosts.
“There was a team in front of us that were better,” he said.
“They applied good pressure and we failed.
“We lost a lot of easy balls, so we have to analyse that in depth.”
