The new DJI Mavic Air – which the company describes as “our best consumer drone to date” – is a supercompact quadrocopter that records 4K video and reaches speeds close to 70 km / h.

The Mavic Air has a three-axis stabilizer suspended from shock absorbers, which ensures more stable shots. Unlike the Mavic Pro, which borrows its specifications, weighs only 430 grams and can be folded to fit in the small pocket of a backpack.

Everything in the Mavic Air has been designed with the idea of ​​containing the performance of a Mavic Pro in the size of a Spark.

The Mavic Air offers a maximum flight time of 21 minutes. It carries a camera with CMOS sensor 1 / 2.3 “and an aperture lens f / 2.8, it takes photos of 12 MP with a focal length equivalent to 35 mm, records 4K video at 30 fps with a maximum bit rate of 100 Mbps and can record slow-motion video of 120 fps at full HD resolution.

As news, is the first drone of DJI that has internal storage space of 8 GB (in addition to the slot for microSD cards) and the first that takes a USB-C port to export photos and videos. Its remote control is also new: it is based on the Spark control, but its control levers can be disassembled and stored in the control itself to transport the whole assembly completely folded.

In Sport mode, the new Mavic Air can fly at 68.4 km / h. Thanks to its omnidirectional antennas located in the landing gear, the signal has a range of 4 kilometers with real-time video transmission at 1080p. And like the other models, it is compatible with the DJI Goggles flight glasses.
