One of the novelties that the South Korean firm has prepared to take to the Geneva Motor Show 2018 is a new version of the new Rio. Surely it will attract the female audience.
Here’s what we know about the 2018 Kia Rio GT-Line, before its scheduled launch for Geneva, thanks to a series of photos and official information that have been unveiled by the South Korean manufacturer.
The new Rio GT-Line comes with a unique exterior that adds some sporting features – like a more aggressive design, larger air intakes and fog lamps. It incorporates a new front grille, side skirts, dual exhaust pipes as well as 17-inch alloy wheels.
The interior has also been revised, adding some sporting touches that include new metal trim on the dashboard and doors, as well as mixed fabric / leather upholstery and some carbon fiber trim that manages to add a touch of racing to the passenger compartment.
The new Kia Rio GT-Line will be initially available only with the 1.0-liter T-GDi petrol engine, which comes with 120 horsepower and a maximum torque of 172 Nm, which according to the NEDC cycle, equals 4.7 liters a the 100 kilometers. The propeller may be combined only with a manual six-ratio change speed transmission, although later it will also have a new seven-speed automatic transmission with double clutch.
Its arrival in the market is scheduled for mid-year, after its passage through the Geneva Motor Show in March.
