5 things men should know about menstruation

It is not the end of the world when a woman is in her day, the hormonal changes we suffer have been demonized, but everything has a why and in the end it is a bit of patience.

These are the 5 things men should know about menstruation so they can understand their partners better, giving her space, affection and understanding.

1. WE ARE NOT ALL THE SAME

The basics. Not all women stick to hormonal changes equally, every woman reacts in her own way. So do not compare, do not expect the same reaction as your ex, your mom or your sister.

2. PAIN AND TIREDNESS

The pain starts from the first day, when there is bleeding.

The levels of progesterone (natural antianxiety) and estrogens (energizing) are lowered to the minimum that is why there is pain and generalized tiredness.

As more prostaglandins go into action, lipids trigger contractions in the uterus to expel the endometrium (the coating that would have harbored the fetus in the case of pregnancy and which comes out as blood), what causes pain and the degree will depend on each person.

3. ENERGY

At the end of menstruating, mood changes radically because the levels of estrogen and testosterone increase dramatically and are capable of producing important changes that make us feel as if we could do everything in a day.

4. HOT AND SEXY

When we are at the center of the cycle, oval, our body is ready to conceive, so the estrogen levels make us look more attractive and we feel more horny … damn nature!

5. HORMONAL IMBALANCES

When ovulation ends, estrogen and testosterone levels fall while progesterone increases, making us feel calmer, less energetic and less willing to have sex.

This phase lasts from 11 to 16 days, depending on each girl, and the last days is what we know as the Pre Menstrual Syndrome, which causes drastic changes of mood and that is when no one supports us (say).
