Solar energy park opens in Brazil with 330 thousand panels
New solar park will prevent the emission of 129 thousand tons of CO2 into the atmosphere.
A solar park capable of producing 220 GWh per year has just been inaugurated in Bahia. It was named Horizon and is capable of supplying energy to 108 thousand homes.
Enel Green Power Brazil (subsidiary of renewable energy of the Italian Enel) was in charge of the installations.
Horizonte Park will avoid the emission of about 129 thousand tons of CO2 into the atmosphere. With an investment of 110 million dollars, this is the third park and joins two other parks named Lapa and Ituverana parks.
In addition to building four parks in the last 8 months, the company inaugurated, at the end of last year, the largest park in Latin America, Nova Olinda, in Piauí. The total investment of the group already amounts to 1 billion dollars.
