Lenovo presents its three new Chromebooks at MWC2018
Just when you thought Chromebooks are dead, very often, a manufacturer somewhere shows up with new models. Now it’s the turn of Lenovo, with three new models that are focused on the student world.
The Chromebooks in question are the 500e, 300e and 100e, which cost $ 350, $ 280 and $ 220 respectively. And all running with Chrome OS.
The most basic is the 100e, which has an Intel Celeron N3350 processor, 4 GB RAm and 32 GB of internal storage (eMMC). It is a laptop with a very basic design with 11.6-inch screen (1366 x 768 pixels) and rugged design.
The 100e comes with two USB 2.0 ports and two USB 3.0 ports, HDMI output and card reader. And it does not bring any of the tactile options of its more powerful brothers.
Lenovo 300e and 500e
The 300e is 11.6 inches, runs with MediaTek 8173C processor and Imagination GX6250 graphics card, 720p webcam and 4 GB RAM, in addition to 32 GB internal storage. A USB 3.0 port and a USB 2.0
For its part, the 500e has similar specifications except for the processor, which is a Celeron N43450U and the graphics card that is an Intel HD Graphics 500. It also comes with two webcams (one extra front) and an integrated stylus.
These Lenovo laptops are mainly focused on the education sector, so probably few are interested in having one for personal use beyond that area. Because the truth be told, how many people use a Chromebook as their personal computer every day? Possibly very little.
