To say that Snaptacles were a resounding failure is not an exaggeration. According to the company’s own data, only 150,000 units were sold, and it was later discovered that Snap had lost 40 million dollars from unsold units. Despite everything, sources say they plan to launch a second version of its Spectacles glasses.
Cheddar learnt that it will release some new version of Spectacles at the end of this year. According its sources, the new model will be waterproof and will focus on performance improvements and bug fixes rather than dramatic changes.
According to what Cheddar says, Snap also works on another model with aluminum frames, double camera and integrated GPS.
