Kia Ceed Sportwagon

The new generation of the Kia Ceed debuted last month and at that time the South Korean manufacturer confirmed that a second body variant would make its debut at the 2018 Geneva Motor Show . A few days before the start of this automotive event, Kia confirmed that this new version will be the Kia Ceed Sportswagon.

At the moment the firm has not released images or official information about this new variant, but the above image that accompanies this article invites you to imagine how this new version could look like.

With respect to its exterior design, possibly retains the same front as the hatchback, while the rear probably uses a larger overhang to achieve a more generous habitability and a larger capacity trunk .

As for its mechanics, the offer will contemplate similar alternatives to the rest of the Kia Ceed range, which includes MPI of 1.4 liters with 100 HP , T-GDi Turbo 1.0 liter with 120 HP and the new T-GDi Turbo 1.4 liters that develops 140 HP of power, in combination with a manual or automatic gearbox with double clutch with the most powerful engines.

But the new Sportswagon will not be the only new variant of bodywork, since although the South Korean manufacturer already announced that in this new generation there will be a Pro Ceed version of three doors, the range will be enriched with an unprecedented version “shooting brake” that will take as a starting point the prototype Proceed Concept presented last year. The fourth member of the new Ceed family will be a compact crossover which has not yet been given details, but when it arrives on the market it will be positioned below the current Sportage .
