This new 2,000 horsepower electric supercar accelerates from 0 to 100 in 1.9 seconds
The new electric cars battle takes place on the track, everyone wants to be the fastest. The Tesla Roadster now has another rival: the new Rimac electric supercar can also accelerate from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in 1.9 seconds, thanks to its almost 2,000 horsepower.
The Croatian company has presented its new Concept Two, which has no less than 1,941 horsepower, thanks to its fully electric motor. Rimac has been working on this car for several years, which they say will be able to reach the racing tracks “almost by itself”, implying that it will have a partial system of autonomous driving.
Of course, in addition to its technical sheet, its greatest attraction would be the ability to go from 0 to 100 in less than 2 seconds, something that the second generation of the Tesla Roadster can also boast of. The car will go on sale in the United States through five authorized agents, although it is expected that Rimac will only manufacture 100 units. Its price is unknown, but the 2011 Concept One was sold for 1 million dollars.
Concept Two will have a 120 kWh battery, which will give it more than 300 kilometers of autonomy for each load. We can not wait for it to be ready and we will see it compete face to face with the new Tesla. Rimac will announce more details of its new car at the Geneva Motor Show, which will take place from March 8.
